Privacy notice

What we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it.

This notice explains what we do with the information you give us. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.

Who we are

UK Small Websites builds and maintains websites for small businesses in the United Kingdom. For any question about your data, contact us at hello@uksmallwebsites.co.uk.

What we collect

When you complete an enquiry form we collect your name, business name, email address, telephone number, whether you already have a website, the address of that website if you have one, the plan you are interested in and anything you write in the message box.

We do not ask for payment details through this website. Card and direct debit details are handled by our payment provider and are never stored by us.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, to prepare a quote, and to deliver the service if you decide to go ahead. That is the whole purpose. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a request you have made, and performance of a contract once you become a client.

How enquiries reach us

Form submissions are passed through Web3Forms, a third party service that delivers the contents to our email inbox. Your message is transmitted securely and is not used by them for marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become work are deleted within twelve months. Client records are kept for as long as we work together and for six years afterwards, which is the period required for tax and accounting purposes.

Who we share it with

Nobody, other than the service providers needed to run the business: our email provider, our form provider, our hosting provider and our accountant. We do not sell data, we do not rent lists and we do not pass your details to other agencies.

Cookies

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google when the page loads.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will action the request within one month at the latest, usually far sooner. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes materially we will update the date below and, where the change affects existing clients, tell them directly.
