Terms of service
The working relationship in plain English. Fees, notice periods, ownership and what we are each responsible for.
These terms cover how our website plans work. They are a summary of the working relationship, and a full agreement is issued before any work begins.
The service
We design, build, host and maintain a website for your business according to the plan you select. Hosting, an SSL certificate, daily backups, security monitoring and the content updates listed in your plan are included in the monthly fee.
Fees and payment
A one off build fee of £99 applies to every plan. It may be paid up front or spread across the first twelve months by agreement. The monthly fee is payable in advance by direct debit or card, starting from the date your site goes live.
Prices quoted are those shown on our pricing page at the time you sign up. We will give at least sixty days notice before changing the monthly fee for an existing client.
Term and cancellation
There is no minimum term. Either party may end the arrangement with thirty days written notice. Fees already paid for the current month are not refunded, and no further fees are taken after the notice period ends.
If a payment fails we will contact you. If it remains unpaid for thirty days we may suspend the website until the account is brought up to date.
What happens if you leave
Your site is removed from our hosting at the end of the notice period. We will provide your content, images and copy in a usable format at no charge, and help point your domain wherever you choose. Because the site is built and maintained as part of the service, the underlying code is not transferred.
Your responsibilities
You provide the content, or the raw material for us to write it from, and you confirm that you have the right to use any text, images or logos you send us. You are responsible for the accuracy of prices, claims and legal information published on your site once you have approved it.
Domain names
Your domain is registered in your name and remains your property throughout. Registration fees are paid by you directly to the registrar and are not included in the monthly price.
Content updates
Updates included in your plan cover keeping the site accurate and current, such as prices, hours, services, photos and text. A full redesign, a substantial set of new pages or a bespoke tool falls outside this and will be quoted separately before any work starts.
Availability
We aim for continuous availability and monitor sites around the clock, but no host can guarantee it absolutely. Where an outage is within our control we will restore service as quickly as possible.
Search engine results
We set your site up to be found, using established and legitimate practices. Search engine positions depend on factors outside anybody's control, so we do not guarantee specific rankings or traffic volumes.
Acceptable use
We do not host content that is unlawful, deceptive or designed to harm others. If a site breaches this we may suspend it, and we will always explain why.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
